A family in Kapkangani ward, Emgwen constituency in Nandi County is embroiled in pain and agony after their son, Collins Kiprotich, went missing under unclear circumstances. He was last seen on the 4th of September. The boy-a standard six pupil at Kapkangani Liberty Fairness Academy-went home, saying he had been sent to collect school fees. He found his mother alone in the homestead and she directed him to take care of the animals as he waits for his father to come back home and give him the fees.
However, he disappeared that night, after they noticed he wasn’t in his room where he normally sleeps. The situation has plunged his parents to a series of sleepless nights and agony, and their search has been in vain. The boy’s father, Mr. Edward Kibet Temba has appealed to the Nandi County government, the police, and residents to help them find his son. He has urged anyone with information regarding the boy’s whereabouts to avail it to the nearest police station.
