Farmers in Nandi are set to benefit from certified coffee seedlings distributed across the region by the County government of Nandi through the department of agriculture and cooperative development.
County Governor Stephen Sang officially flagged off 50,000 certified coffee seedlings during the weekend to be distributed to farmers across the County, and he said that the County administration had already distributed more than 10,000 coffee seedlings to farmers in the region.
“My government under the docket of agriculture and cooperative development will distribute more seeds and seedlings to farmers through cooperative societies. I’m asking farmers who have not joined cooperatives to do so if they want to benefit from the program.
He said the County is focused on strengthening cooperative societies through necessary support for growth and development.
