Former Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula of Kenya Kwanza is the Speaker of the National Assembly after Kenneth Marende withdraws from Second Round of voting.

Wetangula garnered 214 votes and Kenneth Marende had 130 votes.

Due to this the two had to go for a second Round voting but Marende withdrew from the race through a written note to the acting clerk of the National Assembly Ms. Serah Kioko.
