Former Kerio Valley Development Authority (KVDA) Managing Director David Kimosop has been arrested at the JKIA by DCI officers over his involvement in the Arror and Kimwarer dams scandal. Kimosop was jetting in from the DRC, when he was arrested by DCI detectives.
The Former MD is among 28 suspects listed by the DPP Noordin Haji and facing graft charges, including abuse of office and flaunting of procurement laws among others. Treasury CS Henry Rotich, PS Kamau Thugge among others denied the graft charges on Tuesday when they were arraigned at the Milimani Law Courts, and Rotich and Thugge were released on a bond of Kshs 50 million or a cash bail of Kshs 15 million.
Kimosop, who wasn’t in the country when other suspects were being arraigned, has been taken to the DCI headquarters for questioning.
