Former Mt Elgon Member of Parliament John Serut has died.
Serut died in Nairobi Hospital after a long battle with bone marrow cancer.
His death was confirmed by her daughter Mitchell via her twitter account.
Serut represented Mt Elgon in 2002 then was unseated in 2007 by Fred Kapondi.
In 2013, Serut was elected for another term as an independent candidate and lost
his seat again to Fred Kapondi of Jubilee party in 2017.
