Former Nandi Governor Dr. Cleophas Lagat has formed a coalition dubbed “Nandi Kwanza” with Nandi Speaker Joshua Kiptoo who is his gubernatorial running mate in the coming August general elections.

“We saw it good to form this coalition with my able running mate and I want to assure Nandi residents that they will not suffer any more,” Lagat affirmed.
He added that when he was the first governor of Nandi, he made a lot of transformations including development, boosting the health sector and ensuring clean piped water in every homestead of which the sitting governor Stephen Sang has paralyzed completely as there is nothing to smile of in Nandi at now.
Lagat said the health sector in Nandi is ailing as there are no drugs in hospitals hence patients suffering a lot, therefore he urged Nandi residents to elect him as their governor in August general elections in order to restore Nandi again.
On the other hand Nandi county speaker Joshua Kiptoo said their manifesto as Nandi Kwanza coalition is to ensure grass root leadership, funds reach grass root level, to accomplish all the projects and to ensure every ward gets its equitable share of funds thus urging Nandi residents to support them in their bid and walk this journey together.
