Police in Likuyani are holding in custody four people over suspicion of brutally murdering a 50 year year old man and dumping his body in Nzoia river about six months ago.
The body of Christopher Kadima which had serious visible injuries was discovered floating on water in Nzoia river way back in April ten days after he went missing from his home in Mbururu village, Nzoia location under unclear circumstances.
Among those in custody is his son who was found in possession of the deceased’s mobile phone.
Last week DCI officers from Homicide department in Kakamega managed to recover several weapons believed to have been used to murder Kadima dumped in pit latrine in his compound.
According to Likuyani Sub county police commander Charles Muthui, they are being interrogated by the DCI officers after a Butali court permitted them 14 days to dig deeper into their investigations.
The four are supposed to reappear in court on Thursday next week for the mentioning of their case.
