Kenyan Premier League (KPL) bigwigs Gor Mahia have secured a second three-year sponsorship deal with Crown Beverages Limited (CBL).
“I have been barred from divulging the financial details of the sponsorship, but we have signed a MoU that binds us together for the next one year,” said Rachier.
“We shall have their logo on both sleeves of our home and away jerseys, and they will also brand part of the team bus. They shall also have their banners inside the stadium during our matches,” he said.
Rachier stated that the partnership will go a long way in bettering the club as well as its fans.
“This partnership is founded on a shared belief in striving for excellence in product creation and service delivery; this partnership will also demonstrate the two brands’ mutual commitment to making a difference in the lives of our communities and fans at large,” he said.
This has occurred on the wake of the return of the former Gor Mahia hitman Meddie Kagere. The Former Rwanda international has made a sensational return to Gor Mahia, three months after he parted ways with the reigning Kenyan Premier League champions.
Kagere cut ties with K’ogallo earlier this year after negotiations for a new contract in which he wanted a substantial pay raise, but the club refused to give in to his demands and decided to let him go.
The club chairman Ambrose Rachier said Kagere left because the club could not afford him.
“He was asking for six million shillings which we didn’t have, we had no sponsor at the time. We have now discussed, all is in place for his return.” Rachier said
