The government has declared Wednesday 5th will be a public holiday to mark Idd-ul-Fitr. In a Gazette notice dated 3rd June 2019, Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i said Kenyans of all faith will be able to join their Muslim brothers and sisters in celebrating the holy day.
Idd-ul-Fitr marks the culmination of the month of Ramadhan. During the month, Muslims hold payers, observe fasting and pray for blessings and protection for themselves and the entire world.
