Governor Kenneth Lusaka has made bold changes in his Cabinet, undertaking a major reshuffle aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of his administration. The shake-up is part of a strategic move to optimize performance, address service delivery challenges, and build a unified team that is focused on delivering tangible results for the people of Bungoma County.
Addressing the press on Friday, Governor Lusaka emphasized the urgency of improving service delivery as his administration nears the halfway point of its term. Despite progress made in various sectors, the Governor acknowledged that there had been significant setbacks, particularly due to a lack of cohesion within his Cabinet. He pointed out that previous efforts, including team-building workshops, had not fully achieved the desired results.
“I remain fully committed to ensuring seamless service delivery to the people of Bungoma,” Governor Lusaka declared. “However, we must be honest about the challenges we’ve faced. As a government, we cannot afford to waste time. The people of Bungoma expect results, and I am determined to make sure they receive them.”
The reshuffle, which has taken many by surprise, sees several key appointments aimed at strengthening the county’s leadership team and ensuring that each sector operates at its highest potential. Governor Lusaka stated that considerations for regional and gender balance, as well as individual competencies, played a crucial role in the changes.

Governor Lusaka reiterated that these changes are not only about improving service delivery but also about fostering a unified team that shares his vision for a prosperous Bungoma County.
“My goal is clear: To have a team that not only understands but fully supports my vision for this county’s growth and development. We must all work together towards a common goal—better services for the people of Bungoma,” Lusaka emphasized.
In closing, Governor Lusaka reassured Bungoma residents that these changes were made with their best interests in mind. “I am confident that with the new leadership in place, we will deliver the results that the people of Bungoma deserve,” he stated.
