Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka has passionately urged Kenyans to support the broad-based government approach, a strategy he believes is essential for fostering inclusive development throughout the nation.
Addressing a large crowd at Mabole Primary School Grounds in Butere, Kakamega, during a Thanksgiving ceremony for Cooperatives Cabinet Secretary Hon. Wycliffe Oparanya, Lusaka lauded President William Ruto’s commitment to inclusivity. He specifically praised the President for his decision to appoint pioneer governors and members of the opposition to his Cabinet.
“This approach not only strengthens our national unity but also ensures that all regions and communities are represented in decision-making processes,” Lusaka declared, emphasizing the importance of unity and representation in governance.
Lusaka, representing the Council of Governors, expressed immense pride in the achievements of former governors like Oparanya, who have successfully transitioned into significant roles within the national government. “Such appointments reflect the strength of devolved units in nurturing capable leaders who are ready to contribute at the national level,” he stated, highlighting the crucial role that county governments play in developing leaders for the country.
The Governor further assured that governors from the Western region are united in their efforts to drive comprehensive transformation for their constituents, reinforcing their commitment to the broad-based government’s vision.
