Transnzoia County Governor George Natembeya has disclosed that he will present himself before National Cohesion and Integration Commission NCIC over allegations leveled against him.
Speaking at Michael Wamalwa referral Hospital after receiving and dispersing of Hospital equipment worth more than Kshs.30 million that was donated by Ampath organization, the county chief denied any wrong doings and that he had never been involved in messages or hate propaganda as it has been alleged.
Natembeya noted that he was being fought by politicians he didn’t name following his good performance. The Governor was recently ranked by Infotrack in top three as the best performing Governors and due to the ranking he says some of his detractors are not happy with such a record.
He however expressed optimism of engaging with NCIC well and that such allegations that want to tarnish his name will not sail through.
Earlier on Matisi MCA who is also the Deputy Speaker Obed Mwale Mahanga appealed to the NCIC to avoid being driven by political agendas to intimidate politicians and instead leave politicians to discharge their duties independently
Mwale noted that NCIC is being used by some politicians to tarnish some leaders who are not pro Government warning them of biasness in the manner they handle cases of certain politicians.
“As a Deputy speaker am calling upon NCIC to desist from being a barking fog of certain politicians and instead discharge their duties as per the law”,asserted Mwale.
