Nandi Governor Stephen Sang has blamed the national government for investing in projects that do not benefit Kenyans. He said the government is focusing on projects that call for heavy borrowing, “The projects have forced the government to borrow heavily leading to huge debts that have sunk the country’s economy,” he added.
The Governor who was addressing the public during the pass out parade of the Nandi County youth service, said the government is focused on issues like the BBI which are of no value to the ordinary Kenyans, and urged the government to instead create job opportunities.
He lamented that the government is creating jobs for already employed people instead of creating jobs for the millions of unemployed youths.
Over six hundred youths from across Nandi managed to graduate from the service and will be working in different departments at the County after being employed though the Ministry of Youths and Sports.
