The chairman in charge of cane harvesters in Mumias Sugar Company Julius Wangwero has urged the Jubilee government to do follow up and ensure that the money that it gives out to the company is used as required.
Wangwero urged the government to work hand in hand with the Managing Director of Mumias to ensure that the money allocated to the company is used appropriately.
He said that many workers have been working and complaining that they are not paid despite the government financing the company.
“Despite the government pumping a lot of money in Mumias we are still complaining on our pay, so we are surprised and wonder how and where the money is going because last year the government brought 1 Billion then it has again brought another 1.1 Billion,” he asserted.
