The Ministry of Health has confirmed 164 Coronavirua cases, taking Kenya’s tally to 33,794. The cases were picked up from 3,009 samples between Friday and Saturday, with cumulative tests done so far at 445,722. 158 of the cases are Kenyans and 6 foreigners. 90 are males while 74 are females, with the patients aged between 6 months and 89 years old.
In a statement on Saturday, the Health Ministry said recoveries have risen to 19,500 after 156 patients recovered in the last 24 hours. 113 of these were under the Home Based Care and 43 from different health facilities. Moreover, 5 deaths have been confirmed, with fatalities now at 572.
Of the new cases, Nairobi County leads with 56, followed by Machakos at 24, Kajiado has 15, Uasin Gishu has 14, Taita Taveta has 11, Nakuru has 8, Busia has 6, Kiambu has 5, Kilifi has 5, Mombasa has 4, Turkana has 4, Lamu has 4, Nyandarua has 2, Kisumu, Nyeri, Makueni, Garissa, Meru and Kirinyaga have 1 case each.
