A high school principal from Chesumei constituency Nandi County is undergoing treatment at Kapsabet county Referral Hospital after two days of abduction by the unknown assailants.
Chesumei sub-county police Boss Mr Bosita Omukolongolo confirmed the incident saying the teacher is currently admitted at Kapsabet county Referral hospital receiving treatment and is out of danger.
Omukolongolo revealed that the principal for Kapkechui Girls secondary school in Chesumei constituency was kidnapped by unknown people along Kapkechui-Baraton road while she was going home from work in the evening after boarding a private vehicle.
The OCPD cited that the principal was heading to her home Chepterit when the vehicle arrived and people on board told her that they were heading to the same direction only to be drugged off on boarding and dumped at Awasi in Kisumu County while in unconscious mood.
“We received reports from the DCI Kisumu that there was a human being who had been dumped at Awasi area in unconscious condition and when we followed up we found it to be the missing principal,” Omukolongolo revealed.
The principal said she was on the road waiting to board a vehicle back to her home in Chepterit when a certain private vehicle came in and the driver asked her to board saying it was heading to the same root but unknowingly she got in and didn’t notice what transpired until she found herself in hospital.
She said that she only remembers boarding the vehicle at Kapkechui-Baraton road and nothing more.
Chesumei police Boss said that investigations on the matter are on and urged the public to be extra careful when boarding any vehicle for their safety as many of these people are con men or have ill motives.
