Bungoma County commissioner Samuel Kimiti has launched the mass distribution of Huduma namba cards to Bungoma residents, saying the Huduma card will ease the access of government services to residents.
He said the government’s aim is to ensure several documents can be accessed under one card noting that previously it had always been cumbersome to carry several documents and others could end up getting lost. He affirmed that problem has been well taken care of.
He further disclosed that the card will be able to block the possibility of fraudsters forging documents to transact businesses. He revealed that the cards will be distributed at the grass root level from the sub counties and that in December 2021 the national identity cards will no longer be used in the country.
