The truck branded in West FM and KCB bank banners arrived at the region’s arguably most active agricultural market and town a few minutes to 12 noon, but still despite the fact this was not as early as most people would have expected, what transpired later was top notch bond expectations.
From entertainment and education as regards KCB Mobigrow, KCB’s farmer targeting digital banking platform, call it edutainment, everything was tick.
Entertainment at best
The hundreds, if not thousands of people that turned up were treated to a rare experience of meeting their favorite West FM, and by extension West Media popular presenters face to face, being entertained by the region’s ever impressive comedian and musician Geoffrey who also works for Mumbo FM, West FM’s sister station and the country’s newest entrant in the radio industry, Kasembeli Watila clothed in a typical Bukusu traditional attire and many more talents form the county.
The event was capped off by none other than alimo sindu hit maker Micah Wanyenje who wowed the crowd with a climax of a kind.
KCB bank, whose staff was part of the caravan, also expressed their satisfaction at how the day had proceeded , recording good numbers that opened KCB Mobigrow accounts and willingly went ahead to interact with the saving, farmer training and lending digital platform.
Their venture was boasted by the fact that the day’s emcees had a mastery of the platform and would here or there, in between the juicy entertainment pause to remind the audience to open KCB Mobigrow accounts, to start saving and also carried them through how to access loans and the other enormous benefits that came along with the account.
‘’Am convinced West FM is just the best here and beyond, I need no more evidence than this,’’ one staff noted.
There were smiles on most if not all of the fans that showed up, with a good number of them men and women walking home with prizes of different magnitude –from T shirts, caps, key holders, umbrellas, shopping bags, etc all decorated in either KCB bank or West FM colours.
‘’West FM is my home. I have been among the lucky fans today, walking away with a KCB bank branded umbrella to boast my agri-business activities,’’ one Nanjala Nasike said.
