Hundreds of mourners drawn from all walks of life were present on Saturday at Obucun Vilage in Among’ura, Teso south Sub county to bid farewell to the late Mzee Daniel Edunglot, who was the father to West Media’s production manager Robert Ilukol.
Leaders present including Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong, his deputy Moses Mulomi and Nambale MP Sakwa Bunyasi eulogised the late Mzee Edunglot saying he will be remembered for many good things, most notably, championing for the improvement of education standards and promotion of values in the society.
The family led by Ilukol praised their late father for being a caring father in their extended family specifically acknowledging his efforts to ensure his late eldest brother’s children get an education.
West Media head of programs Nandemu Barasa led the rest of the company’s staff and staff from other organisations in paying tribute to the late Mzee Edunglot saying he will miss his evergreen smile.
He conveyed the message of condolence to the family on behalf of West Media directors to the applause of the congregation. Also present was the chairman, Iteso cultural Union Paul Sande Emolot.
