Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka has assured residents that his regime will ensure it fulfills all his campaign pledges.
Lusaka announced that the lighting project currently being undertaken by the Department of Trade will see all major markets across the County including Ndivisi market get lit.
“My administration is committed on matters development. We have rolled out projects in every department. The only way to improve the livelihood of our people is by creating an enabling environment for the economy to thrive. We are going to light up all the market places to enhance security and promote a 24 hour economy system,” He Said.
Lusaka further stated that his administration remains committed on matters roads and infrastructure, expressing optimism in the completion of the 45-kilometer Misikhu-Brigadier road that remains a hindrance for residents, hampering economic development.
“I want to be remembered for development. We have found a lasting solution to the poor state of this road in particular. The process of upgradation has been finalized; the contractor will be on site. The road connects many farmers to markets. We must open up our economy.” He noted
The County Chief also urged the opposition to accord his administration and President Ruto ample time to actualize their manifesto and revive the Country’s ailing economy.
“Even as you oversight, do it with decorum. Campaigns are behind us. Allow us deliver on our pledges,” he urged
Lusaka lauded the cordial working relationship between the executive and the County Assembly saying this will foster development.
He spoke in Webuye East, while attending a special Sunday Service.
