The process of getting into office the new IEBC [Independent Electoral and Boundaries commission] commissioners is taking a significant shape. This follows the start of interviews Monday morning of the applicants for the positions of the commissioners and the IEBC chairman.
116 Kenyans who applied for the IEBC commissioners will be interviewed today by the IEBC commissioner appointment panel.
Abdulqadir Lorot Ramadhan was the first applicant to appear before the IEBC appointment panel chaired by Dr. Nelson Makanda. Thereafter, former judicial service commission registrar Ann Amadi faced the appointment panel, a process that will run for three days for the search of the IEBC chairperson.
others who have applied for the IEBC chairmanship are charles Nyachae, Edward Katama Ngeywa, Erastus Edung Ethekon, Francis Kakai Kisinger, Jacob Ngwele, Joy-Brenda Masidde Mdivo, Lilian wanjiku, Robert Akumu and Saul Simiyu Wesilwa.

Ater the eleven interviews for the position of IEBC chairperson, another one hundred and fifteen IEBC commissioner applications will also be interviewed by the selection panel with the aim of getting six commissioners and one chairman to lead the electoral commission in Kenya.
