IEBC Embakasi Returning Officer, Daniel Musyoka has been found dead in Loitoktok. The missing officer disappeared on Thursday, August 11. According to preliminary reports Musyoka was seen making calls and had excused himself in order to pick a phone call before he vanished mysteriously.
The police have uncovered CCTV footage that revealed the last moments of the missing Embakasi Returning Officer which are contrary to the reports made earlier. According to the footage, Musyoka walked out of the tallying centre and headed to a nearby bus stop. The officer in-charge of the case added that he seemed at ease with no signs of distress. Moreover, he noted that the Returning Officer was not being trailed by any vehicle or person.
The police had earlier called upon anyone who had information on his whereabouts after IEBC chair Wafula Chebukati raised an alarm.
Musyoka’s family also called on Kenyans to aid in finding their breadwinner. His wife confirmed that they had searched everywhere he could possibly be to no avail and that his phone was not going through
