Police in Kitale are holding two suspects linked to the murder of a 47 years woman who was killed and dumped in a pit latrine at Weonia village of Kiminini Sub County in Transnzoia.
While confirming the arrests, Kiminini Deputy County commissioner George Ochieng didn’t disclose the names of the suspects explaining that they are helping police with investigations on how they can arrest several criminals involved in the heinous acts.
The deceased Metrine Nabwile was killed and her body dumped in a pit latrine before the criminals escaped on Sunday evening, she was not seen for the better part of Monday when neighbours decided to search for her.
This comes barely six months after the daughter of the deceased was defiled before being murdered and her body thrown in a sugar cane plantations last year.http://westfm.co.ke/2017/05/08/kiminini-deceased-investigation/
Angry residents of Kiminini were bitter with the police for doing little to make sure their safety is assured as they protested carrying the murdered body to the mortuary saying the police were out to dupe them and they have no trust with them.
Her sister Evelyn Nabwoba Longino explained how she got the message of her sister’s demise and was sure that her sister had been murdered following the threatening messages that she had received from her killers.
She said her sister had received several messages from criminals threatening her life and despite reporting the same to the police at Kiminini, there was no action taken in arresting the criminals.
“The criminals had sent my sister threatening messages detailing on how they will kill her and throw her body in a pit latrine or in a river when my sister reported the matter to the police but they did nothing. When I received the message that she was missing I told the family to search for her in the latrine or river,” said the deceased’s sister.
She said the same criminals have sent threatening messages to her other sister Judith Masinde on how they will kill her if she tries to follow up the matter.
She appealed to the police to assure them of safety since the threatening messages they had received might come just turn out to be true.
The body of the deceased is lying at Kiminini cottage mortuary awaiting post mortem.
