The Ministry for Interior and National Administartion has announced the creation of more administrative areas in several counties with the aim of improving the provision of services to citizens.
The statement from the Ministry under the CS in charge Kithure Kindiki indicated the creation of new locations of Siekunya and Mungatsi in Nambale Constituency while three sub-locations namely Kipkaama, laboot and toboo are being created in Mount Elgon Constituency.
Namubila division has been created in Sirisia Constituency while the new locations of Namubila and Bukokholo have been created apart from the sub-locations of Kabaswana and Namubila to be added to the area.
In Kimilili Constituency, Matili location and Chelekei Sub-location have been created
Other locations created in Bungoma County include Kibichori, Milembe, Sikulu, Sanandiki, Nalondo and chekulo.
The Sub-locations created in Bungoma county include Makhonge, Teremi, Baraki, Milembe, Kimalewa, Chenjeni, Samita, Mbwana, Sanandiki, Sinoko, Lwanda, Walukhaya, Chebukwa, Sirare, Chemwa, Sengeli, Nangili, Marobo and Kiboochi.
In Kakamega county, new locations of Bungasi and Matawa have been created in Mumias West Constituency while Musango is a new sub-location in the area.
Kabras East sub-county based in Malava town and Kabras West based in Shikutse area have been set out in Malava while kambiri and shirugu/mugai divisions have been born with Mukhonje sub-location also being created.
In Butere, Mahondo Sub-location has been created.
In Vihiga County, the new created sub-locations include Ebunangwe, Itumbu and Essaba have been created under Emuhaya Constituency while the sub-locations in the area include Esiarambatsi, Ananda, Mundika, Ekhuluti and Inaya.
Luanda Constituency has added two locations of Ebusundi and Sunrise while the sub-locations added include Waluka, Esikomoli, Itabalia, Esianduma, Imakunda and Ebumbayi.
In Trans Nzoia County, Sikhendu division has been set out within Kimini Constituency while Endebess Constituency got new locations of Kiboi, Kaptega and Mountains
The sub-locations created within Endebess Constituency areKkaibei, Titimet, Segut, Chepsalei, Kimondo, Cheberem, Suam, Njoro and Kaptugot.
