This is after Justice Grace Nzioka delivered a ruling on Friday 9th February 2024 in a case that implicated Joseph Irungu alias Jowie and former TV news anchor Jacky Maribe in relation to the murder of Monica Kimani.
In part of her ruling, she said that evidence shows Jowie Irungu stole an ID belonging to Dominic Bisera two days before the murder of Monica Kimani, Justice Nzioka says he used it to access the victim’s house.
At the age of 28 years by then, Monica was murdered in her Lamuria Garden apartment in the Kilimani area, on September 19, 2018.
Initially the judgement was set to be issued on October 6, 2023, but was deferred after Lady Justice Grace Nzioka was reported to be ill.
A new date of December 15, 2023 was set but delivery of the verdict was once again put off to January 26, 2024.
It was then postponed after one accused person, Maribe, was reported ill on January 26.
Justice Nzioka delivered the ruling at the Milimani Law Courts.
