A celebration mood was witnessed at Friends school Kamusinga soon when they received their 2015 KCSE results after attaining a mean grade of 10.288 an improvement from 10.063 in the year 2014, the highest mean the school has ever attained since its inception.
The school’s principal Edwin Namachanja attributed the excellent results to hard work and cooperation among the key stakeholders in the school with the breakdown of the results as follows:
- A plain 41,
- A- 87,
- B plus 57,
- B plain 44,
- B minus 15,
- C plus 5,
- C plain 1
- C minus 1.
He further disclosed that they have also four students ranked among the top of the country including Elvis Sakwa, Omondi Brian Siwa, Muriithi Oscar and Okoth Ochieng and thanked the school stakeholders for having worked hard excel in the examination.
Having attained the results he said they are also looking forward to improve on the same in this year’s KCSE results as the school celebrates on the excellent performance posted by the 2015 candidates at the school.
The situation was the same at St Lukes Kimilili Boys high school after it also posted the best results the school had ever attained since its inception with a mean grade of 9.6 up from 8.9 in the year 2014.
The school’s principal Patrick Wandili said they had adequately prepared the candidates for the examination saying they were psyched up from the beginning having posted wonderful results in the diocesan mock having led in the County.
He disclosed to have scored A plain 2, A minus 69, B plus 104, B plain 84, B minus 32, C plus 5, C plain 2 and D plain 1 attributing the good results to extreme hard work from the teachers, students and parents saying they had to go an extra mile to ensure they post the good results.
He added that they are also working on ways to ensure they improve on the results posted saying the students are disciplined and focused to attain the good results and enroll for good courses when joining the universities.
Transport and business activities were paralyzed for some time in Kimilili town after Kimilili students extended their celebration in the town expressing their joy for having posted the best results ever saying they are the new academic giants the county will be watching.
