Justice Aggrey Otsyula Muchelule is among the 11 shortlisted judges recommended to be appointed as Court of Appeal Judges. This comes after 35 candidates had been interviewed for the positions from June 17th to June 27th. A request had been placed to the Judicial Service Commission on August last year by the President of the Court of Appeal to raise the number of Judges from 19 to the full complement of 30.
The recommended Judges are Justice Tuiyott Francis, Justice Hellen Omondi, Justice Nyamweya Pauline, Justice Weldon Korir, Justice Msagha Mbogholi, Justice Aggrey Muchelule, Dr. Kibaya Imaana Laibuta, Justice Jessie Lesiit, Justice Ngugi Grace Mumbi, Justice George Odunga, and Justice Mwaura Ngugi. The names will be forwarded to the President for appointment.
