Kabuchai MP James Lusweti was on Thursday afternoon airlifted to Nairobi for specialized treatment due to illness. According to those close to Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula, Lusweti’s health condition wasn’t improving while he received treatment at Life Care hospital and later at Bungoma West hospital, for a period of about one week.
Lusweti who has been suffering from Diabetes for several years was airlifted to Nairobi by AMREF flying doctors. It’s yet to be clear the condition the MP is suffering from at the moment.
Speaking to West FM while receiving Lusweti at Wilson airport, Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula said the whole exercise of ferrying the MP to Nairobi was funded by the Parliamentary Service Commission, “We cannot talk about his condition at the moment but let’s wait for the doctor’s report,” he said, adding that their expectations that his condition will improve are high, sentiments which were echoed by Webuye West MP Dan Wanyama.
