Kabuchai Member of Parliament Majimbo Kalasinga, has voiced strong criticism against the national government, claiming it has failed to deliver on its promises to the citizens. Instead of addressing pressing issues, Kalasinga argues that the government is focusing on activities that currently offer little benefit to the public.
Speaking during a Sunday service in Salvation Army Church in Kabuchai, Kalasinga emphasized that the government has forgotten the commitments it made to Kenyans during the election campaign. He further stated that the ongoing efforts to remove the impeached Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua are not relevant to the nation’s current challenges.
Kalasinga also expressed concern regarding the government’s plan to privatize certain public resources, stating that this approach contradicts the expectations of many citizens. He specifically pointed to the proposed privatization of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), arguing that such a move does not address the facility’s existing problems.
In addition to criticizing government actions, Kalasinga condemned the recent initiative by the Nandi Senator to introduce a bill aimed at extending term limit for political leaders. He labeled this move as a strategy by leaders who have failed to serve their constituents effectively, asserting that he will continue to oppose any bills that lack significance for ordinary Kenyans.
Kalasinga’s remarks reflect a growing frustration among some lawmakers regarding government priorities and a call for a renewed focus on the needs of the citizens.
