It was a sombre Friday morning for students at Kaimosi Boys Secondary school in Vihiga County as students woke up to a burning dormitory. This adds to the increasing cases of fire that has gripped the Western region of Kenya lately.
The cause of fire has yet to be established amid confusion and curiosity from students and the public in general who are waiting to know more about the incident.
In the midst of all the ongoing political narratives that are slowly building up, the rise and increase in arson cases in the country has been the focus on the minds of Kenyans, and the latest incident will only serve to increase more questions than answers as authorities and the school managements as a whole try to figure out how to handle the soaring cases.
Kaimosi Secondary School becomes the second school in Vihiga County to be affected by a fire case in the past two weeks, the other school being Givole Secondary school.
