Kakamega County offices have been closed down indefinitely in readiness for fumigation after three county officers tested positive for the corona virus.
Addressing the press at the county headquarters, Kakamega governor called upon all the county staff to go for testing since most of them had closely interacted with the victims.
Oparanya further called upon his staff and residents at large to go for Covid-19 vaccination to reduce the risk of infection.
He also called upon the residents to keep on observing Covid -19 regulations put in place by the ministry of health to ensure their safety.
Numbers of those at the Isolation centres within the county have dropped with a handful continuing with medication at home.
According to the Health CEC of Kakamega County Collins Matemba, the numbers have gone down though the risk of infection is still high and he has called upon the residents to avoid crowds especially in ceremonies that are not a must to attend.
