ODM leadership in Kakamega County have petitioned the current Deputy Governor Prof. Philip Kutima to resign after he dumped ODM for DAP-K on Wednesday 9th March, 2022
Kutima said he has been sidelined in matters of the party being the main reason for him leaving ODM.
Prof Kutima has showed interest in vying for the county’s top job.
Led by Kakamega youth leader, Mophat Mandela and women league chair Jamilla Anjere said Kutima got the position courtesy of ODM and should resign with immediate effect threatening to impeach him if he will not willingly resign.

They have however promised free and fair nominations in party primaries terming act of cowardice for those defecting to other parties.
