Kanduyi Sub County boda boda rider’s chairman Benard Machunga has condemned the Nairobi boda boda act where they sexually harassed a lady driver in the city in a video that went viral as he sympathized for her.
He however stated that the crackdown order by President Uhuru is tough on them for many youths who are boda boda operators might lose jobs hence increase criminal cases in the country.
“As a person I want to condemn that incident and I am pleading with the President that before you come up with any policy concerning the sector kindly involve boda boda leaders’, he urged
Daniel Mabukha the vice chairman of boda boda in Kanduyi Sub County has pleaded with the President to deal with the issues according to the Sub County where the incident happened.
He added that it will be unfair to punish all boda boda operators in the whole country because it may cause unemployment.
President Uhuru Kenyatta ordered a crackdown on unruly riders where he directed relevant agencies to re-register boda boda riders across the country so as to weed out criminals among other rules.
