Kanduyi Member of Parliament John Makali has appealed to the residents of his constituency to give him more time to fulfill the promises made during his campaign, emphasizing that under his leadership, the face of Kanduyi will undergo a significant transformation.
One of the key projects currently underway is the electrification of the constituency. Makali shared that the initiative to connect electricity to all parts of Kanduyi is progressing well, with several areas already connected to the national grid. He assured the community that the project is being implemented in phases, in accordance with the necessary regulations, to ensure sustainable and safe power distribution.
Speaking to the residents, Makali requested their continued support and understanding as the project advances. “This is a long-term initiative that will bring lasting benefits to our community,” he said. “I kindly ask for your patience as we continue to work towards ensuring that every part of Kanduyi gets access to reliable electricity.”
In addition to the electrification project, the MP has plans to support local boda boda riders by offering training programs in driving and other essential skills. This initiative aims to improve road safety and equip riders with the knowledge needed to advance their businesses.
Meanwhile, residents in Sikalame, where the electrification project is still ongoing, have already started to experience the benefits of the new power supply. Many have expressed their appreciation for the MP’s efforts and are satisfied with the progress made so far. “This is a huge step for us,” said one resident. “We now have access to electricity, and it’s making a difference in our daily lives. We appreciate the efforts of our MP.”
