“We want people to come here and benchmark,” said Lonyangapuo.

The leaders took the advantage of the manifesto launch and geared up for 2022 presidential politics where they endorsed Gideon Moi as the presidential candidate,
Senator Gideon Moi said in 2022 he will be vying for the presidency and urged Kenyans to prepare for 2022 KANU presidential politics.
He added that in 2022, KANU’s present leaders will take over top leadership in the country and urged locals to be watchful during the August elections so that Lonyangapuo is not be rigged out by his rivals.
He warned those who are skimming to rig the August elections they should not try because they will be short changing the people’s rights by forcefully fixing leaders who are not of voters choice.
“We’ll bring back leadership at home in 2022, if you want to change your living standards vote for John Lonyangapuo as your governor, he is the solution to poverty and insecurity along the border,” he said.
Secretary General Nick Salat said he is ready to take up leadership in 2022 elections. Mr. Salat urged residents to elect KANU leaders citing that West Pokot is a KANU zone.
Senatorial aspirant Samuel Poghisio asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to personally woo voters from the Pokot community without using Jubilee County political leaders, referring to them as political brokers who are not contributing to his re-election.
“KANU has more votes in West Pokot County than Jubilee. It’s only KANU that can champion for his re-election but not Jubilee,” said Poghisio.
He added that some politicians are skimming to rig KANU votes at the County and he asked the party agents to be watchful during the election day.
During the launch, lonyangapuo was installed by Pokot elders as the Pokot spokesperson.
