Kapsabet Boys High School in Nandi is among the best performing schools countrywide in the 2018 KCSE exams after the results were officially released by CS Amina Mohamed on Friday. The school managed to produce seven candidates among the top hundred nationally, ranked at positions 13, 22, 24, 25, 28, 44, and 60.
Whitney Nikanor Mabwi was ranked position thirteen countrywide and was the best performing candidate at Kapsabet Boys High School, with an A and performance index of 84 points.
Speaking to West Media, Kapsabet Boys High school principal Mr. Kipchumba Maiyo said the results are impressive after the school notched 26 As. There were 57 A-, 55 B+, 56 B, 41 B-, 48 C+, 23 C, 14 C-, and 2 Ds. The school which had a mean of 9.0 had a total of three hundred and thirty-one registered candidates this year, and last year there were three hundred and eleven candidates. The principal lauded the efforts made by the students, parents, teachers and the entire community which contributed to the good results, adding that the school’s standards have been supported by integrity and the fear of God throughout the years.
