Residents of Kapsambu village of Kapkateny ward in Mt Elgon constituency are dissatisfied lot after it emerged that the County government of Bungoma did not factor their concerns in allocation of village administrative units.
Led by Collins Bera, the residents said it is unfortunate that despite having eight sub locations, they have only been allocated five village units saying it will be an underrepresentation.
He disclosed that they have three locations namely Kamuneru, Kapkateny and Chongeywo, which have the eight sub locations that need to be demarcated as village administrative units.
They added that such actions have previously led to being secluded in matters development hence they have lagged behind for long saying they will no longer accept to be underrepresented.
Kiano Ndiema an elder from the community called upon the governor to relook into the issue saying having advertised and shortlisted the village administrators post some names proposed for the village unit in the ward are not a reflection of what they want.
