The 2019 KCPE exams have commenced countrywide, with over 1 million candidate sitting for the exams in different exam centres. The first test paper is Mathematics, which started at 8:30 am and the last paper will be done on Thursday.
Interior CS Fred Matiang’i has affirmed that security has been beefed up all over the country. “Let us act firmly in the interests of our children, anyone who breaches any aspect of examination should be apprehended,” he said. The CS was speaking in Nakuru County.
Earlier, the government had assured all candidates that there will be a total transition from primary schools to secondary schools. Education PS Belio Kipsang had also lauded the candidates’ level of preparedness, citing that it has been good enough to reduce the anxiety levels among students.
