The Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination has kicked off smoothly today in Nandi without any hiccups with a total of 21,225 registered candidates, 10,573 male and 10,652 female, sitting for the examination in 687 exam centers.
According to the Director of Education in Nandi county Dr Onesmus Anyan’g, the examination session began at the right time as the papers were dispersed on time to the examination centers.
Anyan’g said the exercise kicked off well without any difficulties in transportation the way it has been witnessed in the past, adding that so far no cases of irregularities have been reported.
Day one, the first paper tackled was the mathematics paper in the morning, then English and composition later in the afternoon.
On day two, candidates will sit for Science, Kiswahili and Insha tests and finally day three which will be the last day, candidates will tackle the Social Studies exam.
The exams are being manned by the school head teachers in conjunction with the invigilators and supervisors.
