A candidate from Golden Gate Secondary School in Chesumei Constituency Nandi County is doing her KCSE exams at Kapsabet Referral Hospital where she was rushed to after experiencing labour pains.
The candidate has been in the hospital since the commencement of the KCSE exam, and her baby had to be placed in an incubator, as a result, the candidate had to do her exam papers in the hospital as she recovers and the baby is under care.
According to health officials in the facility, the baby is in steady condition and will be removed from the incubator as soon as they deem fit, adding that the mother is in a good condition.
Nandi County Director of Education Mr. Lawrence Karuntimi confirmed the matter, saying the candidate is doing her exams at the facility under tight security to ensure the credibility of the exam.
He cited that the exercise is going on well in the entire County without any challenges and hopes for the best as they haven’t received any cases of irregularities since the exams started.
