Police in West Pokot County have arrested a suspect for impersonating to be a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education candidate.
Confirming the incident West Pokot County Commissioner Apollo Okello said the suspect was arrested on Tuesday at around 12:30 p.m, following up on an intelligence report.
“Police officers came across a case of impersonation during the monitoring of today’s English paper 2 exam at Ortum mixed secondary school,” said Apollo
Apollo said they came across a case of impersonation whereby one Nickson Amani (a form 3 student at St Anthony, Kitale) was sitting for an exam on behalf of his brother Murunda Prince Makawa of Index no 24502418018.
“The two are said to be the sons of the current principal of Ortum Mixed Sec school,Mr Murunda,” he added
“We have since arrested the suspect, the school principal who is also the center Manager,Mr Murunda, the supervisor (Onyango Silvester) and the invigilators ( John Tokes and Christine Werunga) and handed them over to the police Chepareria police station for further interrogation.” He said
