Political leaders from the larger Western region have been asked to come out and help the young people from the area financially and with the help of their influence help them win different business contracts in the current government or in different organizations to help grow
them economically.
The call was made by the senior procurement officer in charge of Kenya Medical Supplies KEMSA Mr. Paul Kituyi who said that young people from Western have failed to compete effectively with their fellow young Kenyans from other regions because of lack of financial capacity to be awarded different government contracts.
Kituyi who addressed the youths from Western region living in Nairobi County under the Mulembe movement also asked scholars and experts in different fields from the area to collaborate to establish companies that will enable them to compete for government contracts and organizations at the same standards as other Kenyans from different parts.
Additionally, Kituyi alongside another tendering officer Wilfred Siakama and the founder of Mulembe unified Namalwa Chesoli indicated that people especially young people from the Western region have failed to benefit themselves in doing business with the government because many do not have confidence to compete at such levels and they are mean providing or sharing information to peers and have even given priority to issues that do not develop business or economics that benefit people of the said region.
