Kenya-under 20 football team disqualified by CAF
The Kenya-under 20 football team suffered a fatal blow in their bid to qualify for the 2017 Africa under-20 Cup of Nations after the Confederation of African Football (CAF) disqualified them.
This follows a complaint lodged by the Sudan Football Federation (SFA) which accused Kenya of fielding over age players when they two sides clashed last month in the first leg tie at the Al- Merreikh Stadium in Khartoum which ended in a 1-1 draw.
The SFA lodged the complaint a day after the first leg match in Sudan saying that that Kenya fielded players who were born in 1996.

The Confederation then published in its website the names of five Kenyan players who were accused of ineligibility to feature in the squad.
The players are Erick Ouma Otieno, born on 27/9/1996, Nicholas Kipkirui, born on 31/5/1996, Boniface Muchiri, born on 23/8/1996, Eugene Moses Mukangula, born on 22/6/1996 and Theodore Kibet Kilele, born on 25/9/1996.
As this happens Kenyan clubs Kenya Pipeline and Kenya Prisons started their chase for the African volleyball club title with emphatic wins over their opponents as the CAVB club championships kicked off in Tunis.
Pipeline were the first to pick a crucial victory beating Ghana Police 3-0 ( 25 -20, 25-15, 25-17) in match one of the competition .
Prison later beat Injis from Cameroon with a similar margin of 3-0 (25-19,25-17,25-23) in Group D.
