Kenya has recorded 230 new Covid-19 cases, from a sample size of 6,515 tested in the last 24 hours. The total positive cases are now 98,184, while the cumulative tests conducted are 1,088,378.
Of the cases, 221 are Kenyans and 9 are foreigners. 152 are males and 78 are females. The youngest is a two-year-old child while the oldest is 77 years old.
1 more patient has succumbed to the virus, taking the fatalities to 1,704. 137 people have recovered, however, and the total recoveries are now 80,808. 127 of these are from the home based care program and 10 from health facilities.
Distribution of the cases in the Counties is as follows; Nairobi 77, Taita Taveta 36, Kiambu 20, Busia 19, Kisumu 12, Meru 11, Uasin Gishu, Kilifi 10, Kitui 9, Mombasa and Kajiado with 4 each, Laikipia and Murang’a with 3 cases each and Nakuru with 2 cases. Kisii, Machakos, Garissa, Trans Nzoia, Bungoma, Nyamira, Migori, Makueni, Siaya and Vihiga have 1 case each.
