Kenya is set to host a China Trade Week Expo from June 29 to July 1, which is expected to draw hundreds of Chinese companies, the organiser said on Wednesday.
This will be the second time for Kenya to host china expo week, Kenya will be the main beneficiary from the expo.
About 400 Chinese companies are expected to participate during the event to be held at Kenya international conference centre.
Kenya continues to enjoy the good relationship with china which has seen Kenya develop in terms of infrastructure with the help of Chinese government.
The meeting will bring companies across various sectors of the economy from, building and construction, lighting, machinery consumers, electronics among other different industries.
Speaking during the announcement of the upcoming meeting, MIE events managing director, Mr David Wang said, “Kenya is the most developed economy in East Africa and also a commercial and logistic hub for the region.”
The three-day event will provide Chinese companies with the opportunity to discuss and develop trade and business partnership with the Kenya entrepreneurs and the region’s community business as well as other commercial sectors in the country.
The meeting will give Kenyan entrepreneurs the opportunity to grow a strong business relationship with Chinese entrepreneurs and benefit from the industrial capacity.
This largely contributed the recent growth the Kenyan Chinese business partnership and has seen china be the Kenya second business partner.
The youth will largely benefit from the expo because many jobs will be created from the increased partnership between the two countries.
