The Kenya Kwanza brigade team led by the Deputy President Dr. William Samoei Ruto on Monday took their campaigns in Nandi to hunt for votes ahead of the August General Elections.
Addressing residents during his tour in Nandi Hills, Ruto slammed Raila for planning to skip the planned Presidential candidate’s debate on Tuesday citing that he has chosen to take that path because he has no agenda for the Kenyans.
Ruto who was accompanied by his running mate Rigathi Gachagua and the Speaker of the National Assembly Justin Muturi, together with his large team, asked the Azimio La Umoja brigade Presidential candidate to ensure that he dares not skip the debate even if he has no agenda at all.
“Kenyans are waiting for you to explain to them your plans and agenda, so if you do not have any, kindly come and explain to them the meanings of the phrases “Tialala” and “Tibim” Ruto added.
The Deputy President insisted that if Odinga has planned to skip the debate then it means that he will also skip the elections saying he is a coward and cannot withstand the heat thus urged him to attend the debate without failure.
“I want to urge my opponent competitor to come to the debate and explain to Kenyans the meaning of Tialala and Tibim even if he has no agenda to explain.” The DP affirmed.
Ruto also asked Nandi electorates to elect UDA leaders from the bottom to the top seats so as to enable him have good representation in the coming government a move which was well received by Nandi residents vowing to support him (Ruto) fully.
On the other hand, Speaker of the National Assembly Hon Justin Muturi and Kenya Kwanza Presidential running mate Rigathi Gachagua asked the DCI Boss George Kinoti to stop interfering with the work of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) and instead give the Commission ample time to prepare the General Elections.
