Kenya Kwanza coalition leaders led by ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi and his Ford Kenya counterpart who doubles as Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula traversed parts of Sitikho ward in Webuye West constituency to woe support for their coalition and its Presidential candidate Dr. William Ruto.
Addressing residents while at Kuywa market, they hit at Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya leaders especially from Western region to come out clearly and explain to Kenyans and the people of Western what their agreement was in their coalition than criticizing their bargain in Kenya Kwanza.
ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi said that they will never do that because there is nothing impressive in the agreement because they have made no agreement concerning common mwananchi.
“We have put our agreement open to the people of Western region to know what we agreed on for our people and we have signed the bargain in that we have 30 percent of the government if we win this election, but our friends have been critic on ours yet they have not been able to put theirs open, let them do so and we compare and the Western voters will be able to evaluate and see who has the best for them,” said Mudavadi.
Wetangula said they have a binding agreement that will see the Western region gaining more in the Kenya Kwanza coalition and appealed to the people of Western to vote in the coalition because it has the best interest of people at heart.
Wetangula too took issues with handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya Presidential candidate Raila Odinga saying it has hardened life for a common mwananchi as prices for common and essential commodities have gone up yet Raila has promised to follow the footsteps of Uhuru Kenyatta which means the prices will keep on escalating and asked Kenyans to reject such leaders in the forthcoming General Elections.
MPs who accompanied the two leaders among them Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa and Mumias East Constituency MP Benjamin Washiali said DAP-K is the worst enemy of the people of Western saying it’s Raila who brought it to kill some old parties in the region accusing ODM leader for the alleged corruption in Mumias Sugar Company.
Washiali too criticized the new sugar policy which he said President Uhuru Kenyatta wanted the policy of e -ports to be used so that his family can benefit as it imports sugar which he says has killed the sugar sector in Kenya.
On his part, Kabuchai MP Majimbo Kalasinga said he will keep on defending sugarcane farmers so that in future can enjoy the better benefits of their proceeds.
