With less than 29 days to the official start of the Rio Olympics games,the Kenya lionesses have been hard in preparation to bag some medals.
Kenya Lionesses Olympics training squad has been released by the event organisers as they prepare for the rugby sevens competition at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in August.
Phila Olando, Celestine Masinde, Rachel Mbogo, Kate Abilla, Doreen Remour, Mary Musieka Janet Okello and Sinaida Aura have been included in the squad which will be playing.
Kenya Lionesses Head Coach Mike Shamiah, said that they will trim the squad further before settling on the final 12 players for the Olympics.

The Kenya Lionesses start with a women’s Pool B clash against New Zealand at 5.30 pm on Saturday 6th August, before playing France at 10.00 pm.They will then complete their pool fixtures with a match against Spain at 5.00pm on Sunday 7th August.
They will then complete their pool fixtures with a match against Spain at 5.00pm on Sunday 7th August.
Shujaa will open with a men’s Pool C match against Great Britain at 6.00pm on Tuesday 9th August before playing New Zealand at 11.30pm later that evening.
They will wind up their pool fixtures against Japan at 6.00pm on Wednesday 10th August before knowing if they proceed to the championship rounds.
