The price of Super Petrol has increased by Kshs 1.48 per litre in the latest Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) review. However, the prices of Diesel and Kerosene have decreased by Kshs 0.12 per litre and Kshs 0.50 per litre respectively.
As a result, the prices of Super Petrol, Diesel, and Kerosene in Nairobi are Kshs 105.43 per litre, Kshs 94.51 per litre and Kshs 83.15 per litre respectively. The prices are effective from 15th September to 14th October.
EPRA noted that the price changes are as a consequence of the average landed cost of imported Super Petrol increasing by 2.65% from US$ 319.23 per cubic metre in July 2020 to US$ 327.69 per cubic metre in August 2020. The average landed cost of imported Diesel decreased by 1.02% from US$ 333.27 per cubic metre to US$ 329.88 per cubic metre while for Kerosene decreased by 2.06% from US$ 288.01 per cubic metre to US$ 282.09 per cubic metre.
