Likuyani MP Dr. Enoch Kibunguchy has encouraged parents from the area to heavily invest in the education of their children to give them a strong foundation for prosperity.
Addressing residents at Mabusi in his constituency, Kibunguchy said education is the only important
property children can inherit from parents in the modern time.
“Land has become scarce and parents should know that unlike in traditional times, nowadays education has remained the only worthy property a child can inherit from the parents,” stated Kibunguchy, who pointed out that both the national and County governments only employed persons who met academic qualifications for specific job descriptions.
The MP who has promised to prioritize education as his main agenda faulted the government for doing nothing in terms of infrastructural improvement in schools.
“It so sad our children are going back to schools when they are still in the same state they were when they closed following the outbreak of Coronavirus in the country early last year, no new structures have been put up, no water and other necessities have been provided in our schools,” said Kibunguchy.
He, however, urged parents to ensure all school going children report back to their respective schools following the reopening.
